Maureen Joyce is a member of Barings Real Estate, a global real estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity strategies. Maureen is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Real Estate Equity Asset Management, responsible for the investment performance and strategic direction of all real estate equity assets across all U.S. mandates. In addition, she serves on the Barings Real Estate U.S. Private Equity Investment Committee and is co-chair of Barings Global Real Estate ESG Committee.
Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Maureen served as the Head of Asset Management & Separate Accounts at AEW, where she was responsible for the Asset Management Team and Financial Reporting and Accounting Team as well as the Separate Account business within their real estate equity platform. She also served on the Investment and Risk Management Committees and led AEW’s ESG+R efforts as Co-Chair of the ESG+R Steering Committee.
Prior to AEW, Maureen worked in real estate equity at CBRE Investors, Spaulding & Slye, and Copley Real Estate Advisors.
Maureen holds a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College and an M.B.A. from Boston College Carroll School of Management.
She is active in a variety of professional associations, including Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Technology Product Council;; National Association for Industrial and Office Parks as a Board member; and National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM).
