Dan Jacobson has more than 21 years of commercial real estate investment experience investing in equity and debt transactions across the risk spectrum, covering all major and niche property types. 

Dan is currently a general partner at Alpaca running the real estate investment fund program.

Prior to joining Alpaca, Dan worked at AEW Capital Management, a 35-year-old global commercial real estate investment firm with ~$80B in AUM across all property types and risk/return profiles. At AEW, Dan ran the structured investments strategy for the firm, investing and overseeing the deployment of over $6B in capital across traditional and niche asset types for core, value add, and opportunistic mandates.

Prior to AEW, Dan was an investment principal at CrossHarbor Capital Partners investing approximately $500M in opportunistic equity and debt commercial real estate transactions across the United States and Bermuda. 

Dan earned his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management with a major in real estate and his BA from Cornell University.
